Hello everyone and welcome to The Brighter Writer's new space! Our community will consist of the staff at The Brighter Writer, and what a great staff it is! I have asked Trish for permission to get this ball rolling for several reasons, most of them being purely selfish.

 

1.) Everyone has a blog or reads blogs regularly.

This isn't just a pop culture fad that is going to go away and we are a little behind in getting ours out there. This is going to work two-fold for us. Number one, it promotes The Brighter Writer which gets us more projects which means we get more money. Number two, it promotes us as writers. We all know that the majority of the work we do with The Brighter Writer is ghostwritten and we can't take any credit for it or add it to our portfolios. This blog spot gives us a chance to showcase our writing skills and provides us with a link to include in our portfolios. Yay!

 

2.) I've been trolling the freelance writing jobs online and you need blogging experience for about 85% of them.

 

3.) My goal is to help grow The Brighter Writer business so that I can quit the job I hate and focus on writing full-time.

Trish has been wonderfully patient with my ideas for her business, lol. She has done an amazing job getting this business off the ground and I am thankful for the opportunity to be a part of what she is building and to work with such amazing people. In my excitement I have a lot of ideas that I am throwing at Trish and she was gracious enough to allow me to set this up. 

 

The list can go on and on, so I'll stop there. I will say that I am going to be trying many things with this site, so I ask that if you have any feedback, questions, or concerns to please let me know. Also, feel free to make your space your own. If you know a little about web design, add graphics and make it yours. You can write about whatever you want, but please remember that we are representing The Brighter Writer. I am also in the process of trying to link both TBW and Freedom's Rein websites to this page, but in the meantime, I ask that everyone include the URLs for both sites in your signatures at the end of your posts.

 

Since we're just starting out, I'd like to ask everyone to surf the web for other blogs of interest to you and make comments. Give those readers an opportunity to view your skills and provide them with a link back here. I'm hoping that we can build some traffic that way.
